Interim Transport Minister, Manu Korovulavula has stressed that the purchase of 40 vehicles for the Public Works Department is not a luxury for civil servants, but it is intended to save the Interim Government millions of dollars.
Korovulavula said the previous governments were contracting vehicles which was just increasing government expenses.
Korovulavula adds that the purchase of the vehicles will help the Interim Government in the long run too.
