Fiji's top businessman Hari Punja believes that the overall efficiencies and effectiveness of the public service can be achieved if the right people are appointed to do the job.
During the Prime Minister's Economic Summit at the Tradewinds Convention Centre, Punja stressed that this is clearly evident in the private sector.
Punja gave an example on how services in public hospitals can be improved if professional administrators run the hospitals and not doctors.
