Ba, Rewa, Navua, Lautoka and Suva have been picked as top favorites to win this year’s Courts IDC which kicks off at the TFL stadium tomorrow.
While some soccer pundits have been saying that teams that have roped in top overseas players have a good chance to win the prestigious tournament, the National soccer coach thinks otherwise.
Yogendra Dutt said the most consistent team throughout the year will lift the trophy come Monday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Dutt said local players are being deprived of their right to represent their district in major soccer tournaments.
Dutt's comments come as teams like Navua, Lautoka, Suva and Rewa have roped in overseas based players for the Courts IDC.
Dutt who will be eyeing players during the next few days for the National squad said this is an issue which needs to be looked at.
The 2010 Courts IDC kicks-off tomorrow at the TFL Stadium with Navua taking on Labasa at 5pm and you can catch a live commentary on our sister station Sargam.
