Rugby pundits are placing their cards on the Wardens team to walk away with the $25,000 prize money after stamping their mark in the local competition recently.
The Timoci Wainiqolo coached side knows this weekend’s Uprising 7s tournament will be no walkover.
Having collected over $42,000 in tournament prize money since last year, that include the Coral Coast, Vuda, Dreketi and Namarai 7s, the Naboro based team is the top pick for the tournament.
Former National 7s rep and Wardens captain Apisai Naiyabo said they will stick to their winning formula and polish up on their mistakes before the battle.
Meanwhile, Police captain Sakenasa Aca said they are not there to make up the numbers but to prove themselves to the rugby fraternity in Fiji.
The Uprising Fiji International 7s men’s competition kicks off at 10am this Friday at the TFL Stadium and the first match is between the Digicel Fiji Barbarians and Marist.
