Pump Breakdown Causes Water Disruptions
The water supply department had revealed that their pumping station in Waimanu has continued to face continuous problems which according to Media Liaison Officer is over 30 years old and has broken down this morning.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Nagalu said their engineers have rushed down to the station but at the moment they are hoping to restore water by 7 tonight adding that 6 water trucks have already started visiting these areas.
Meanwhile, Samabula resident, Prem Wati said something should be done to the infrastructure as this has been an ongoing problem.
Areas affected are high areas in Samabula, Lakeba Street, Princes Road, areas in Namadi Heights, Pathik Cresent, Salesi Road, Salato Road, the High areas of Lami, Qauia, high areas of Delanavesi right up to Veisari.
