The Water supply department is calling on people who have water supply to use water wisely and think of others who do not have any supply at the moment.
Spokesperson Maika Nagalu said kids mainly should be taught not to waste water and rainwater should be collected and also used for household chores.
He has also called on consumers to boil all tap water to avoid getting typhoid and other water borne diseases as water can be contaminated.
Meanwhile, residents of Nausori town are currently facing water disruptions since last night as PWD engineers are continuing with their upgrading works.
Nagalu said their engineers were making a pipe connection from Dunsten to Ross Street and expect to complete their work by early Monday morning.
In Nausori, work on the damaged main water pipe across the Rewa River continues following the floods on Monday.
This pipe carries water to villages in the lower end of the Rewa Delta including Lomanikoro, Nabua, Vutia and Nukui, and three water tanks have been provided in Nasali landing so that these villages can get their water supply.
Water rationing will continue in Nakelo district so that residents of Tumavia, Nauluvatu, Namuka, Naimalavau, Vaturua, Matainoco, Buretu, Nabouciwa and nearby areas.
Meanwhile high areas in Korovou and the Ratu Kadavulevu School are still without water supply.
