The Public Service Disciplinary Tribunal that was established a year ago has so far received 21 cases against civil servants who have been charged for breaching the public service code of conduct.
Speaking at the anniversary of the Tribunal at the Public Service Commission today, PSC Chairman Josefa Serulagilagi said the role of the tribunal is to hear all disciplinary charges referred to it by the commission.
Serulagilagi said since the tribunal’s establishment the number of complaints received has increased.
Meanwhile, Tribunal Chairman and former Magistrate Amaniasi Katonivualiku said the tribunal hears the cases and a report is then handed to the Commission for proper action.
The tribunal consists of three members.
