Members of the Public Employees Union will lodge a 28 days strike notice at midday today.
PEU President Dauniatu Kautoga said it is confirmed that after the rejection of the FICTU proposal by the interim cabinet yesterday afternoon, the Union will lodge a strike notice for strike action to take place on the 1st of August.
Kautoga said the Union is disappointed with the interim cabinet's decision.
The Confederation of Public Sector Unions has already lodged a 28 day strike notice with strike action to take place on the 19th of this month.
