Fiji's decision to reinvoke the Public Emergency Regulation is likely to be discussed on the fringes of the Apec leaders' summit in Sydney, where NZ Prime Minister, Helen Clark arrive today.

Speaking to the NZ Herald, NZ Foreign Minister, Winston Peters last night called on Commodore Bainimarama to take the army back to the military barracks and stop embarrassing Fiji and the Pacific.

Peters said yesterday's move meant NZ had to doubt the sincerity of Fiji's pathway back to democracy.
