Christopher Pryde has been reappointed as Solicitor General under the State Services Decree 2009.

In accepting the reappointment, Pryde said it is important for Fiji that there is minimum disruption to government services and that the continuity in the public service is maintained.

While responding to the NZ Law Society President, John Marshall's comments that lawyers should not accept office with a regime found to be unlawful, Pryde said it is at this very time that Fiji needs good lawyers.
