Each year, hundreds of tax payers are deprived of their tax returns after their cheques get stolen, lost through the mail or simply misplaced.
However, in an effort to eradicate such problems, the Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority has made it mandatory this year for tax payers to provide a bank account number while filing their returns.

Meanwhile, FIRCA also reminds taxpayers that due to the change in the income tax threshold last year, those who qualify would need two separate P41 forms, one from January to May 2008 and another from June to December to fill in their Tax return forms for lodgment.
