Vodafone Fiji Bati prop Iowane Divavesi will know his fate on Monday whether he will be allowed to play against Ireland in the semifinal qualifier.
Divavesi has been banned for two matches for tripping against Scotland.
Team manager Ilaitia Naqau said they are keeping their fingers crossed that Divavesi will get the green light to play after they appealed against the two-match ban.
Naqau said although the coaching staff has named Divavesi in the starting lineup for the match against Ireland, they have other options if he is ruled out.
The Fiji Bati/Ireland match will kickoff on Monday at 8:55pm.
Meanwhile, in the only match of the Rugby League World Cup today, New Zealand plays England at 9pm.
