The President Ratu Josefa Iloilo is calling on people to properly utilize their land and sea resources in order to ensure that food requirement is continuous and at a sustainable level.
Ratu Josefa said that food prices are rising globally thus people should make wise decisions in order to ensure that these would cushion the impacts of the rising food costs.
He said there is an abundance of land in the country to be tilled and utilized and sea resources to be harvested and enjoyed and people should grow as much of food required.
The President said that the Bible teaches that we should eat from the sweat of our forehead and it also said that those who do not wish to work should not eat meaning the spirit of laziness and idleness to take root from the society.
