The chairman of the Public Service Commission (PSC) has confirmed that proper procedures were followed by Permanent Secretary for the PSC Taina Tagicakibau prior to the suspension of the Permanent Secretary for Defense Malakai Tadulala.
Rishi Ram said he spoke to Tagicakibau this morning.
Tadulala was suspended pending investigations against him after it was alleged that he refused to adhere to a PSC directive to take disciplinary action against an immigration officer. The Interim Minister for Defense Ratu Epeli Ganilau was not informed when the action was taken against Tadulala.
