Nadroga prop Penijamini Makutu hopes of donning the Flying Fijians jumper for next month’s Rugby World Cup is in doubt.

The 23 year old who is the youngest prop in the 35 member squad fractured his hand while playing for Nadroga against Suva in the BSP Farebrother Sullivan trophy challenge in the last two weeks.

Manager Talemo Waqa has confirmed that Makutu is likely to miss the trip to New Zealand while Gabby Lovobalavu has recovered.

Flying Fijians is preparing for the first Test match against Tonga next Saturday at Churchill Park in Lautoka as their build up games to the World Cup.
