Prominent Chiefs To Attend Meeting
As registration closed last night, some prominent chiefs who have been part of the Great Council of Chiefs have confirmed their attendance.
The high chiefs include the Vunivalu of Rewa Ro Epeli Mataitini who is the close relative of the Marama Roko Tui Dreketi, the high chief of the Burebasaga confederacy, Vunivalu of Serua Ratu Aseri Latianara and Ra high chief the Tui Navitilevu Ratu Meli Bolobolo.
17 chiefs from Tailevu including the Roko Tui Vikau are already at the Army camp, the Tui Ba Ratu Sairusi Nagagavoka, Tui Drola from Yasawa, all of the 9 chiefs from the 9 tikina in Kadavu, the chiefs from Cakaudrove, Bua and Macuata and 3 chiefs from Namosi.
Fijian Affairs Ministry media liaison officer Kini Rarubi said more than 100 chiefs have registered for today's Bose ni Turaga and some more chiefs will come in this morning.
Those who are not part of the meeting are the Marama na Roko Tui Dreketi Ro Temumu Kepa, Tui Cakau Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, Tui Tavua Ratu Ovini Bokini, Tui Namosi Ratu Suliano Matanitobua, Ka Levu Ratu Sakiusa Makutu and Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi, the Roko Tui Bau.
The meeting commences at 9 o'clock this morning.
