With the success of the "Money smart" programme in secondary schools around the country, The Ministry of Education is looking into establishing the programme into Primary schools and kindergartens.

This is after reports that nearly a quarter of a million dollars was saved by form three students around the country.

Acting Director of Education Ministry's Curriculum advisory services and TVET, Nemani Drova said the money smart programme is part of the commercial studies for form three students, which it aims to instill in young people good financial management and budgeting skills that will benefit them in the long run.

Drova said as part of the Financial Literacy Educational framework, the ministry hopes to establish the Money smart starting from kindergarten and throughout primary and secondary schools.
