29 year old Wainibuka woman, Diana Sausauwai stood tall amongst the 76 new recruits today during the pass-out parade at the Fiji Prisons and Correction Services in Naboro.
Sausauwai was awarded the Commissioner's book prize which was amongst the 6 awards given today for the achievements and also to maintain the high standards of the institution.
Sausauwai was amongst the 11 females and 64 male recruits at the parade after spending 12 weeks of basic training.
She said the training was hard at first but she later got used to it.
Meanwhile Prisons Commissioner Brigadier General Iowane Naivalurua told the new recruits to continue to serve their country with pride.
