The Interim Attorney General said offenders need help to change for the better.
Addressing the Second Heads of Pacific Island Corrections Conference in Suva this morning, Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum said offenders, who may not all be criminal in nature, need help to be accepted in society as it is often difficult to get out of the system once you are in.
Sayed Khaiyum said pacific island countries need to work together to get a desirable and positive outcome.
The conference, involving 11 countries ends on Thursday.
