Prisoner asks for concurrent sentence
Sailosi Volivale has been charged with burglary, larceny and breaking and entering.
It is alleged that on 27th December 2005, he broke into a house in Padamlala Street and stole assorted items worth $6,150 dollars.
Volivale is alleged to have broken into the house of a Yang Cheol on 17th April 2006 and stole assorted items and jewelry worth $9300 and on 23rd April he also allegedly stole assorted items worth $2950.
It is also alleged that on 4th May in 2006 he broke into the house of former Magistrate Makareta Waqavonovono and stole assorted items and jewelry worth $1640 however none of the items stolen has been recovered.
In mitigation Volivale told the court that he is currently going through a rehabilitation programme and counseling in prison, and comes from a broken family and will not re-offend when he is released in 2013.
The case has been adjourned till 6th March for sentencing.
