Police are investigating an incident where a Korovou prisoner is alleged to have knifed another inmate yesterday afternoon.
The Assistant Police PRO Corporal Josaia Weicavu said the inmates were working on a farm near Korovou Prison, when an argument erupted between them and the prisoner is alleged to have struck the other prisoner with a cane knife.
The injured inmate is admitted at the CWM hospital and police are waiting for him to be discharged before questioning him about the incident and laying any charges.
