Family support, prayers and hard work have now paid off, and while you should be thankful and honoured, know that you must continue to lead by example.
These are the words of Commissioner Prisons Iowane Naivalurua, who handed out the Long Service and Good Conduct medals to 76 prison officers at the Prisons Medal Parade at Nasinu this morning.
Naivulurua said those receiving the medals were officers of transition, helping offenders change for the better and therefore helping society adding that they must continue to live by example.
One of the medal recipients, Viti FM commentator Prison Officer Peni Rokodiva said he owes the medal to the support of his family.
