While most of the businesses have said they will be negatively affected by the new wage rate which came into effect yesterday, one printing outlet said this implementation should have come into effect a long time ago.
Owner of Quality Printing, Dewan Chand Maharaj said they already are paying above the new wage rate which is $2.65 and other printing companies should not have a problem with this.
Maharaj adds the Labour Ministry should now monitor that all companies adhere to the new wage rate.
The new wage rate for the Printing industry now sits at $2.65, which has gone up by 50 cents.
