Principal willing to join voluntary services
60 year old Gulab Singh has been principal of Indian College for over 10 years believes he has earned enough and does not need to find employment elsewhere.
There will be 776 teachers from 441 schools, 331 from the Health Ministry and 300 civil servants from the Works, Public Utilities and Energy Ministry who will be going home today.
Meanwhile, more than 200,000 students today salute and farewell 776 students, who call it a day as they retire from the teaching field today under the State Services Decree 2009.
The Education Ministry in a press statement said they will always be indebted to these noble officers for their invaluable contribution in shaping the lives of the students they taught.
It said their valuable contribution undeniably speaks volumes of the great advancements in the administration of education in our country.
The Ministry hopes that all retiring officers will continue to pass on their knowledge and skills for our young generation in the years to come.
