Prices up in June
Alcoholic drinks and tobacco went up by 1.6percent, housing went up by 0.1percent, the price of heating and lighting materials recorded an increase of 2.7percent.
Higher prices were recorded for household kerosene.
Durable household goods which include furniture, electrical appliances, crockery, duty free goods, jewellery and travel and sports goods went up by 1.2percent.
Higher prices were also recorded for men's, women's and children's clothing and footwear.
The prices went up by 2.2percent.
No changes were recorded in the transport and service sector while higher prices were recorded for stationery, medical goods, toiletries, laundry goods and other household items.
Lower prices were recorded for bakery products, cereals, fresh fruits, fruit juice, yaqona and market items such as French bean, English cabbage and other vegetable products.
The prices were down by 0.1percent.
According to the Bureau of Stats, this was due to abundance supply of local products in the market.
