Consumers should brace themselves as the price of various items is expected to continue to rise through the year.
With butter prices increasing from today, another increase in fuel prices expected within weeks, Prices and Incomes Board Secretary Ane Naulivouralso confirms that wheat prices are now at an all time high due to supply shortages.
Naulivou said the prices are not expected to decrease anytime soon.
She said the increasing prices in food and fuel prices are a global trend and all countries are experiencing drastic increases in prices of basic items.
The PIB confirms that reviews of the fuel and wheat prices are expected soon.
