The Prices and Incomes Board clarifies that the changes in prices for kerosene and premix outboard fuel will only come into effect when there is new stock.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Prices and Incomes Board Secretary Ane Naulivou said this is because kerosene and premix outboard fuel is categorized as different products as they are under percentage mark up control.
Naulivou's comments come after concerns raised by consumers that for kerosene and premix outboard fuel they are paying the old price though PIB announced a price decrease in fuel last week.
Kerosene decreases from $2.05 to $1.86 while premix outboard fuel decreases from $2.22 to $2.10 a litre.
