The Commerce Commission will start reviewing the Price Control Order, which regulates telecommunication prices in the country from next week to determine whether it should remain in force or be revoked.
Commission Chairman Dr. Mahendra Reddy said submissions have been received from FINTEL, Vodafone and Telecom Fiji Limited on their views on the matter.
It was earlier confirmed that the Price Control Order was extended for another two years by the former Commission Chairman Charles Sweeney, however since his removal from office, the Interim Minister for Communication Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum directed the Commission to review the order and determine with it should be remain or revoked.
Meanwhile, Telecom Fiji Limited, Vodafone and FINTEL remain tightlipped on their views on the matter.
