Prevention is better than cure.
That is the message from the Acting Permanent Secretary for Health Doctor Eloni Tora at the launch of the National Mass Drug Administration program of Anti-filarial tabs.
Tora said there are no drugs to reverse the disfigurement or disability caused by Lymphatic filarisis, so it will be in everyone’s interests, to adhere to the mass drug administration of anti-filarial program.
He added they will be concentrating their efforts over a two week period beginning next Monday.
