Preventing Crime is not only the responsibility of the disciplined forces but all individuals as well.
These were the words of Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni at Sukuna park this morning while declaring Suva a "Crime Free City".
Commodore Teleni said declaring Suva Crime Free will contribute to the objective of making Fiji a crime free nation.
He also said that in order to have a peace and secure environment it is important to respect each other and the different cultures adding that everyone has to work together to prevent crime.
He also said that for a safe environment law and order is important as people are still living in fear.
