All eyes will be on the Suva athletics team on whether they can again defend the FMF Chow Games title this year when the competition gets underway at the TFL Stadium this morning.

The capital city side walked away with all of the grades trophy from the U-9 to the U-14 last year but it was Lautoka who denied them a win in the U-11 girls grade.

With 32 gold medals at stake and most of the field events final completed today, it will be clear in the afternoon who will be their biggest threat going into day 2 tomorrow.

Former champion, Ra, Nadroga/Navosa, Cakaudrove, Nadi and Lautoka are all trying to spoil Suva's celebration come Saturday afternoon.

Ra official Anasa Nasedra said that Suva and all other districts are in for a tough time when the FMF Chow Games start this morning.
