The President’s XI men’s team lost to New Zealand Maori 3-2 in a friendly match of the Federation of International Hockey league in the last hour.

The Presidents XI’s team was brought in to provide a warm up game for the Kiwis as the Samoan men’s team failed to make it to this tournament. 

In other results the Australian Country women’s team defeated New Zealand Maori 3 nil.

The last game this afternoon will see Papua New Guinea taking on Samoa in the women’s division in the next hour.

Meanwhile, our national men’s side will play PNG tomorrow at 10am while the women’s team will face Vanuatu at 4pm.
