President, Jioji Konrote says he is very worried about the state of the health of the nation due to the continuing increase in the number of Non Communicable Diseases.

Speaking after the welcome ceremony and the 100 men guard of honor for the President at Queen Elizabeth Barracks, President Konrote said members of the RFMF should set an example by ensuring that they are always fit and healthy.

Konrote also thanked the members of the RFMF for supporting Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama over the last 15 years.

He says the RFMF’s role is stated in the constitution and everyone should work together to move Fiji forward.

President Konrote says he will visit the RFMF more often in the future.

Prime Minister Bainimarama, cabinet ministers and Acting Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho also attended the ceremony.
