The President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau has this week accepted the request from the Board of the Fiji Rugby Union to be the Patron of the FRU.
The President's formal acceptance comes after a meeting with the FRU Board at Government House on the 30th of last month.
The last President to be formally approached to be Patron of the FRU was the late Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara.
