The President Ratu Josefa Iloilo has rejected the names of the three people who were nominated by the Attorney General's Chambers to form the tribunal to investigate allegations against the suspended Chief Justice Daniel Fatiaki.

In a press conference this afternoon, Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Saiyed Khaiyum revealed that in a letter, the President has rejected the names saying he wants to ensure that those chosen for the job will be totally impartial and independent and has given them two more months to submit seven new names for members of the Tribunal.

Sayed Khaiyum said the misrepresentation in the LawAsia conference by some members of the Fiji Law Society and other local media reports has made their work more difficult.

He also revealed that various charges have now been drafted against the Chief Justice Daniel Fatiaki as they await the appointments.
