"Go with God Fiji Bati"

That's the message from his Excellency, President Ratu Josefa Iloilovatu in sending off the side to the Rugby League World Cup in Australia.

The Tui Vuda said that the players should remember they are not representing Kadavu or Cakaudrove or any province but they are representing the nation of Fiji.

Ratu Iloilo sounded a stern warning to the players that they are going to a place where there is temptation and they should be prepared and ask the Lord for his guidance.

The Fiji Bati is grouped with France and Scotland in Pool B.

They will face France on November 1st and will take on Scotland on the 5th.

The 2008 Rugby League World Cup will be held in Australia from the 25th of October to the 22nd of November.
