The President Ratu Josefa Iloilo has conveyed his full support to the contents of the report on the People's Charter.

In a letter to the Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama, the President also invited the Interim Government to commence with the implementation of all its recommendations.

The PM's Office also said that Ratu Josefa Iloilo expressed satisfaction that the Council's report contains the wisdom and foresight that will move Fiji forward.

The President stated that this is a memorial occasion in our history as we endeavour to develop a way forward through a shared vision to build a prosperous and peaceful Fiji.

Ratu Josefa Iloilo expressed gratitude for the tireless efforts of the Council and those citizens who assisted in the successful compilation of the report.

Meanwhile Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama said he does not care about the comments made by the Methodist Church General Secretary, Reverand Tuikilakila Waqairatu that the NCBBF figures on the support for the People's Charter is a total lie.

Commodore Bainimarama said the support of 92.5 percent of the people who filled in the Charter response forms speaks for itself.

He also said that President, Ratu Josefa Iloilo will also be too busy to see the Methodist Church executives who are planning to meet with him.
