The Nadi Weather Office has advised people to prepare for the drought season which is expected to begin in the next two months.
Director Rajendra Prasad said a weak to moderate El Nino is expected to develop in August this year and its immediate effects like low to below average rainfall will be faced in certain parts of the country.
Meanwhile, people are expected to face more cooler nights in the coming weeks.
