The Fiji netball team preparing for the World Netball Championship in Australia seems to be heading in the right direction.

The Vilimaina Davu coached side won their first build-up match last night when they defeated New South Wales top club, the Eastwood Ryde side by 79 goals to 33.

Davu worked on certain combinations in last night’s match and is getting quite a clear message as to which top 12 players to choose for the World Championship next month.

Fiji will now play Manly on Thursday in their second build-up match.
