Two months ago, the Fiji Police Force adopted a new approach that all police stations as part of the Police Christian Crusade should answer the phone by saying "Praise the Lord”
Deputy Director Operations SP Erami Raibe said in an earlier interview that all the officers around the country have been advised to be more people oriented and to answer the phones by saying Praise the Lord.
However, this week, there has been a change in the phone answering exercise at majority of police stations.
SP Raibe said the approach still stands and referred all queries to the Commissioner of Police Commodore Esala Teleni.
Commodore Teleni could not be reached for a comment, however his spokeswoman Ema Mua said it’s up to police officers
If they want to say “Praise the Lord" and it’s not compulsory.
