That's the message from the Methodist Church of Fiji to the National Council of Building a Better Fiji in regards to what the Fijian members of the draft charter team have said that the Church does not respect the right of their members by forcing them to oppose the charter.
General Secretary Reverend Tuikilakila Waqairatu said the church has made its stance clear to the members that it does not support the charter but the final decision will come from members.
Waqairatu added that this is not the same with civil servants as their rights have been taken away from them and they have been told that it is a must for them to support the draft charter.
Last week, 16 Fijian members of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji released a 13 page press statement on why they believe the Indigenous Fijians should support the NCBBF and the Draft People's Charter.
