The Fiji Electricity Authority expects to restore power throughout Fiji by this Sunday.

Chief Executive Officer, Hasmukh Patel said power has been fully restored in the Central and Eastern division and all the urban areas in all the other divisions.

However, he said there are still a few areas in the interior of the western division where their men are currently working and they expect power to be back in these areas by this Sunday.

The areas that are currently without power supply are parts of Namada, Busabusa, Vaqia, Naruku, Koula Back Road and Toge in Ba while Votualevu, Savatu District School, Buyabuya, Taunabe, Marou, Nagatagata and Lewavou in Nadarivatu.

Patel said he understands what problems people go through without power supply however FEA is calling on people to also understand that FEA is doing all it can after many powerlines and electric poles were damaged during Cyclone Mick last month.
