A power blackout which occurred this afternoon at around 4.30pm along the Wainibuku areas has seen water cut throughout the area.
The Water Authority of Fiji said as a result of the power cut they have had to totally shutdown their pumps in Wainibuku.
This has seen water cuts to residents living in Tovata, Tuirara, Upper Makoi, Qaranivalu Road, Kalabu village, Naveiwakau, Valelevu, Newtown, Tacirua East, Upper Caubati, Cunningham, Sakoca, Khalsa Road, Dokanaisuva and Tacirua village.
The public are being asked to store water if it is still in your taps.
Supply should normalize again afew hours after the power has been restored.
