Power supply along the Queens Highway from Wailekutu to Naboro has been shut down after heavy rain has loosed the soil around a power pole carrying 33 kilo high voltage power lines in the Veisari area.
The Fiji Electricity Authority confirmed that the power pole is leaning at a dangerous angle and needs to be urgently relocated before it falls and endangers lives.
The FEA said the exact time it would take to complete the re-location and power will remain shut down until such time work is complete.
Motorists are also advised to take precautions when approaching the area.
