The Fiji Electricity Authority has today confirmed that power shutdowns in the Suva City where shopping outlets are located will start at 1pm tomorrow and not 11am.
However Chief Executive Officer, Sunil De Silva said power shutdowns in the Industrial area where the factories are located will start at 11am.
De Silva also confirms that power shutdowns for residential customers will start at 1pm and it will not be continuous.
De Silva said the shutdown is required to allow the technical team to continue major engineering works to reallocate towers that are at extreme risk of falling due to a landslide in Monasavu.
