The Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, believes the potential for the ICT industry in Fiji is huge, in terms of innovation and job creations through the development of back office data processing, call service centers and other related activities.

Commodore Bainimarama made the statement during a brief visit to Quest at the Kalabo Tax Free Zone. He said the interim government was excited with this development and had, in this year's Budget, provided attractive tax incentives to those wishing to invest.

Meanwhile, the Interim PM commended Quest for taking the lead role in developing a world class facility with leading technology and an operating model which allowed 24/7 services in its market.

He added that the world was continuously evolving towards a global village and much greater use of information and communication technology is essential for social and economic development.

He said Quest had done well in terms of developing its product to service its market in the Asia Pacific region and an opportunity to maximize the potential available in Fiji.
