Post Fiji Donates To Appeal
Save The Children Chief Executive, Chandra Shekar this morning received $10,000 worth of stationery from Post Fiji Acting Chief Executive Seveci Tora, with Shekar saying their appeal, helped by Communications Fiji Limited aims to supply children affected by the floods with all their school needs for the time being.
Shekar said they hope to get these supplies to affected schools by next Tuesday.
Post Fiji Acting CEO Seveci Tora said after seeing for themselves the devastation caused by the floods, they have seen that with school starting, children right now need all the help they can get.
Also the Get The Children Back To School Appeal led by the Communications Fiji Limited radio stations, Legend FM News, its sister stations and our website fijivillage.com has raised over $40,000 since it started two days ago.
All the cash donations collected for the children will be handed over to Save the Children’s Fund to assist the children with their school fees and daily bus fare and lunch.
