The Suva Water Supply has advised residents of Suva-Nausori corridor to store water if the tap is still running as there is a possibility of water disruptions.
Spokesperson, Maika Nagalu says there was a power blackout at Tamavua reservoir, and at the Savura pumping station which has led to closure of Tamavua system.
Areas likely to be affected include, Tovata Tuirara, High areas of Makoi, Valelevu, Tacirua East, Upper Caubati and Cunningham.
According to Nagalu Water supply is expected to be back normal by late this afternoon.
Three water trucks will be carting water in the affected areas.
