Positive Signs in Mosquito Spraying Campaign
Deputy Mayor, Dhiren Sardar said they are now left with Nadera, Kinoya and Laucala Beach and many people in all the other areas where they have sprayed have given positive responses about the the campaign.
Sardar said they will spray the Nadera and Half of Kinoya area from this afternoon to tonight while the rest of Kinoya and Laucala Beach is expected to be done tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the number of dengue cases in the Western Division is now 468 with 214 of these being diagnosed in Lautoka, 95 in Nadroga and 71 in Ra.
This number has been confirmed by Acting Sub Divisional Medical Officer Western, Dr Isimeli Tukana.
People are still being asked to take precautions by cleaning their compounds and any other areas where mosquitoes may breed.
If you suffer from lower back ache, headache, joint pains and fever it is advisable to see a doctor immediately.
Health Centres and Hospitals have reported over 840 dengue cases.
