Positional changes in police force
Assistant Commissioner of Police Joeli Baleilevuka is now the Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police following the retirement of Eroni Antonio.
Three senior police officers are on leave and it has not been confirmed on when they will return to work.
They are SSP Waisea Takabau, who was the Director Operations, former Director Intelligence SSP Rusiate Tudrau and former officer-In-charge Ready Action Unit SSP Isireli Vaniqi.
Assistant Spokesperson, Sergeant Suliano Tevita has confirmed that Acting SSP Isei Vueti is now the Director Operations.
His deputy is ASP Taitusi Lala who replaces SP Erami Raibe who is now with the Ministry of Defence.
Former Director CID, SP Tevita Lesu has been promoted to Acting ACP Chief Operations Officer replacing Emori Laqai who has retired.
Acting SSP Henry Brown is the new Director Intelligence Bureau replacing SSP Rusiate Tudrau who is on leave.
Former Regional Police Commander Northern, SSP Isikeli Ligairi has been appointed Acting ACP-Chief Admin Officer, replacing ACP Joeli Baleilevuka, who is now the acting Deputy Commissioner of Police.
SSP Adi Sen is the new Director CID while Acting SP Tevita Waqabaca has been appointed Manager Major Fraud Unit replacing SP Prem Adip Singh who has retired.
